As many cases of COVID are starting to affect school operations across the state of Wisconsin, the following is the new face covering directive approved by the BOE on Sept 9, 2020 that is effective immediately.
In order to keep all students and staff safe and maintain our current course of instruction with in-person learning, masks will be required of students and staff per the Governor’s Order. When the Governor’s Order comes to a conclusion, it is the intent of WBSD to continue to require students and staff to wear a mask until the Board rescinds the directive. If your child has a medical condition that warrants otherwise, a note is required by a medical practitioner. Medical documentation is required to be provided to the WBSD within five (5) business days which is Friday, September 18, 2020. Students who refuse to wear a facial covering or continually and intentionally remove the facial covering and/or have not provided medical exemption documentation will be removed to the virtual learning option and may face disciplinary action. Reinstatement to in-person learning will be at the discretion of administration
This directive applies to all indoor areas of the School District, including transportation vehicles and busses. Due to current CDC Guidelines and our current WBSD procedures this is our current practice and will be revisited at our monthly board meetings.
Thank you for your understanding regarding this practice.
Sincerely,
Garrett Rogowski
District Administrator
Please see the WB District Preliminary Reopening Plan. This plan is fluid and will be revised as COVID-19's condition changes. Please note, sections with pink highlighter need to be finalized. However, we wanted to provide families with our preliminary plans as of July 14th, 2020.
Sincerely, Garrett Rogowski
