Good Morning! Did you know that Earth Day was started 50 years ago by a senator from Wisconsin named Gaylord Nelson? At that time, pollution was becoming very bad in some areas--especially in bodies of water. For example: There was a river out east that had caught fire several times between 1936 and 1969! Google it!
Earth Day serves a reminder of how fragile our world is and that we should do our part to protect it. Take a walk today and pick up trash along the road. Look at the way things are wasted around your own home and come up with a plan. Think about the ways we tried NOT to be wasteful at school. If each one of us plays a small part in helping take care tof the Earth, it will continue to become a more clean and healthy place to live!
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!
