Good Monday Morning! When I was young, I had a big toy called "outside!" It was and still is amazing! I hope you have been able to enjoy "outside." There are many things to learn and to wonder about nature, so go on a walk. Watch outside wake up as spring warms the ground. Since you have the time--slow down, watch, listen, and wonder. Choose a place to which you have daily access and journal about what you can see, hear, smell, and touch. Make careful observations. Remember that a scientist--and you are one--carefully draws and records the world around them. They ask questions about what they notice. This is an opportunity you have not had since you were little. Learn from nature. Watch the season of spring progress. What do you notice about the sky? the clouds? the sun? the wind? the rain? (the snow? I hope we don't have any more until next winter!) the ground? What has begun to grow? What creatures have begun to appear? What do you wonder? |
