Professional History
This is my 30th year teaching! Boy, time flies! I attended Birnamwood School and graduated as valedictorian in 1988 from Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School. From there, I attended UW-Marathon County in Wausau for two years and then went on to UW-Oshkosh. I graduated magna cum laude and as a university scholar from UW-Oshkosh in August of 1993. My first teaching job was at St. Paul School in Mosinee. There, I taught 7th & 8th grade math, 7th grade reading & social studies, and K-8 computers. After two years, I accepted a position at St. Florian School in Hatley. I spent four great years there, where I taught 3rd & 4th grade, some 5th & 6th grade, and served as the teaching principal. In August of 1999, I was happy to be hired by Wittenberg-Birnamwood to teach 3rd grade in Wittenberg. After just one year, I was moved to Birnamwood School, right after a move to a different house just outside of town. I taught 5th & 6th grade language for a few years. Then, after some middle school restructuring, I was able to use my math certification and teach some math too. In May of 2005, I was very proud to have earned my Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Marian College in Fond du Lac. I really enjoy teaching and am excited to try new things this year!
Family History
Some of you may know me. I grew up just west of Birnamwood as Wendy Bauch. I graduated from WB in 1988. In November of 1992, I married Tim Landowski from Ringle. In 1994, we bought our first home, a small house in the WB district. We had our first child, Elaina, in November of 1998. In November of 1999, we bought a different house in the district - a bit newer, a lot bigger, and closer to home. Elaina, our oldest daughter attended college at UW-Oshkosh and works in Wausau. Alexa, attended UWSP at Wausau. She is a preschool teacher at the Tiger's Den Daycare at Tigerton School. We were also blessed with twin boys, Jaydon and Jordan, who are currently sophomores in college this year. They attend UW-Stevens Point and keeps us busy running to football games and cheerleading competitions. Even though I may have an empty nest at home, I am still lucky enough to get to see eight great-nephews and nieces each day here at Birnamwood School.
