WELCOME TO THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR!!!
It is a pleasure and honor to have your child in our intervention classroom. I am excited and thrilled for this school year to have arrived!
I am a dedicated teacher who will work diligently to assist your child academically, behaviorally, socially, and emotionally. I believe in instructing your child through holistic education, which fosters collaboration rather than competition and helps young people feel connected. I will use real-life experiences, current events, and the dramatic arts and other lively sources of knowledge in place of textbook information to kindle the love of learning. I will be encouraging reflection and questioning rather than passive memorization of facts. I will be accommodating for each child's differences. I hope to bring out the unique gifts contained within each child’s spirit. I WILL STRIVE TO DO MY VERY BEST TO NURTURE YOUR CHILD'S INDIVIDUAL POTENTIAL.
With your child's struggles, together as a team, we will note the strengths and build upon them. We will teach, reinforce, and harness skills in your child, so he/she will begin to feel empowered and believe in his/her capabilities and potential. Your child, YOU, and I will work hard all year to ensure that your child leaves with strong academic and life-long skills.
