The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens December 1st this year. College bound seniors should apply for the FAFSA, even if they think they might not receive anything. Students do not have to be accepted to college before completing the FAFSA.
FSA ID - students and one parent/guardian need to complete an FSA ID. This is how you log into and sign your FAFSA. Parents/Guardians who have done this with older siblings and already have an FSA ID use the same ID. WRITE DOWN your information so you don't lose/forget it!
FAFSA - the website for the application. Students can save and return to their FAFSA whenever needed.
